The Butler County Sheriff's Corrections Division operates three facilities in Hamilton. The main Corrections Center at 705 Hanover Street holds up to 848 inmates. This is where all bookings and releases happen. The facility houses maximum and medium security inmates along with contracted inmates from the U.S. Marshals Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Bureau of Prisons.
The Resolutions Jail at 442 South Second Street handles overflow from the main facility and contains administrative offices. The Court Street Jail at 123 Court Street also houses overflow inmates and runs the property and evidence operation.
Butler County uses an objective jail classification system. Every inmate gets assessed at intake. Butler County Jail Services and Visitation
The Butler County Jail visitation uses closed circuit audio and video equipment. Inmates with last names A through J visit on Saturdays. Those with K through Z visit on Sundays. Hours are 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Trustee inmates get extra visitation on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Each visit lasts 30 minutes.
